GNSS Interference Scenario Testing
GPS spoofing in the Baltic is not theory — it's a 2025 reality.
Design and delivery of realistic GNSS jamming/spoofing scenarios for fleets, ports and operations centers. Tabletop exercises with playbooks for bridge and operations teams.
In 2024-2025, over 84 hours of GNSS interference were recorded in the Baltic Sea and GPS spoofing surged globally (+510%). Ships lose position, AIS shows false data, and navigation systems provide incorrect headings. This is not a movie scenario — it’s daily reality for shipping near Kaliningrad, the Black Sea and beyond.
We design and conduct realistic GNSS interference scenarios — from simple jamming through advanced spoofing to AIS loss and false positioning. Scenarios are tailored to the client’s operational specifics: fleet type, operational region, VTS structure and port procedures.
Our experience combines maritime cybersecurity (IMO 2021, IACS) with radio and navigation systems expertise.
Benefits
- Realistic scenarios — based on real incidents from the Baltic and Black Sea
- Procedure testing — verifying crew/operator response to PNT loss
- Playbooks — ready response procedures for jamming, spoofing, AIS loss
- Crew awareness — training for bridge team and operations center
- Annual program — option for cyclical exercises with increasing complexity
For Whom
- Shipowners and fleet operators — especially operating in the Baltic and Black Sea
- Ports and VTS operators — traffic control and port management centers
- SAR centers and coast guard — coordination under GNSS degradation
- Offshore — platforms and operations in interference risk zones
What We Deliver
- GNSS interference scenarios (3-5 scenarios per exercise)
- Tabletop exercise facilitation (1 day, up to 20 participants)
- GNSS incident response playbooks
- Post-exercise report with recommendations
- Optional annual program (quarterly exercises)
Pricing: from €10,000 per exercise cycle | Book an exercise — we’ll tailor scenarios to your operational region.
